Sorry that I almost forgot about posting this week’s art here… not because I hate you or didn’t do any, I just have been busy and kinda under the weather lately. That also means I didn’t get as much done as I wanted, but oh well… I got two this week and one left over from last week I didn’t post for some reason.
I was watching some There Will Be Brawl this past week and it struck me just how awesome I find the Star Fox guys in their depiction of the Nintendo universe. Honestly, most of them look pretty awesome, but I thought they really captured the mercenary feel of the characters, which is something Nintendo kinda glosses over. I was gonna do more with this, but liked how the basic line art looked so I just left it as is.
Doing the Star Fox sketch made me want to do another Brawl character, so I chose the always amazing King DeDeDe. I’m really happy with not only how well it turned out in its colored form, but how crazy DeDeDe and WaddleDee look. I thought about doing some shading and more clothing type of characteristics (wrinkles and whatnot) but Nintendo has always stuck with the cartoony look, so I did too.
And another Chowder character… this time it’s the mustache-tacular Mung Daal (in his younger, handsomer form). Just look at that sexy beast. Don’t you want to just reach out and pet his ‘stache!? Okay… that last bit was weird. So I’m gonna go now.
