this is my favorite show, because this is my show

I’d like to name this endeavor “Fan Art Friday” but it seems like I’ll never get that chance since I’ve posted it on Saturday for two weeks in a row. Not a great start for that friday trend I’m hoping for… but maybe I’ll get my act together next week.

And, although it’s a little bit later than planned, I do have some more delicious fan-art for ya this week. I started a few other game characters but only got a Link piece finished in that department. I did, however, get some cartoon stuff done! You’ll recognize them from Cartoon Network (unless you don’t watch kids shows) and if you know me very well at all, you know I’m kinda obsessed with both shows.

Enough jibber jabber though. Let’s get to it…

While doing a sketch of Young Link, I decided it just felt wrong that he looked so damn happy/content. After all, killing animals as a kid is one of those signs of being messed up and moving into serial murders later in life. His items just vanishing as he puts them away (or floating against his back) has also bugged me for a while now. It’s nothing that takes away from the games, but when I see other fan pieces, I always wish they’d do their own take on how he carry’s so much.

As most of you know, I’m insanely addicted to Flapjack. My DVR is filled with every episode that plays on CN, I watch it online at work, I’ve watched about as many interviews the creator has done, it’s like heroin to my inner child.

This was taken from a cool clip of Flappers that I decided would look good in black/white and on a dancefloor. Maybe next week I’ll do one of Captain K’nuckles.

While on my Cartoon Network drawing phase, I went on to draw a Chowder scene (and, as requested by GL’s own Ashley King, I made sure that Schnitzel is front and center). Turned out pretty well but I gave up trying to get the background to look anywhere as near as awesome as the stuff in the show. If you haven’t seen it, at least check it out sometime for the neat styles they use.

That’s all I’m posting here but my dA account has a cartoony self-portrait, a handsome Mung Daal drawing, and will soon have a few other pieces up on it as well as the above images at higher resolutions. Thanks for checking this stuff out and feel free to leave any requests in the comments. I might ignore them completely, or maybe I’ll use my freetime to make your dreams come true!!!
